The view from the North...

There's something satisfying about climbing a hill; you get a bit tired, but there's an isolated stillness at the top which makes the moment quite agreeable. It is in these isolated moments, that the creative condition does it's thing and gives you an idea that's quite impossible to remember when you reach the bottom again. This is why we thought it would be rather jolly to build a lovely studio at the very top of The Chairworks. This is the highest building in the area, with views across 20 miles of Yorkshire. Glass doors at the rear of the control room open on to a roof terrice where you might like to do absolutely nothing.

It's fair to say that there are one or two steps between the reception area and the Control room at the top of the tower, but think on this for a moment:

In 2006, an upright piano was found burried at the top of Ben Nevis. Clearly it wasn't deposited by a giant magpie; someone carried it up there. Worrying about carrying that Marshall 4x12 up all those steps? Well stop it.
