Welcome to The Chairworks, one of the north of England’s largest and finest residential recording studio complex.

Chairworks is home to producer/engineer David Watts (Reytons, OMD, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Heaton). The studio is also available for external bookings, so feel free to get in touch even if you want to bring in your own producer or engineers.

The studio is the final incarnation in a long heritage of recording studios in the Yorkshire area. Run by a team of dedicated professionals who have left no stone unturned in their quest for audio perfection. 

 

Constructed within a late nineteenth century Victorian factory, in a bustling Yorkshire town, The Chairworks provides a no-compromise recording solution.

 

The Studio A control room is built around what many believe to be the ultimate mixing console - a superbly maintained SSL 4000 G+ with flying faders, total recall and Ultimation. This is complimented by a great selection of classic outboard and a fantastic mic collection, consisting of vintage and modern classics.

Our double-height live room has been designed by studio legend John Wood, and compliments our impressive array of live spaces and sound-treated booths.
